"Contemporary Ceramic Sculpture in Italy"
at the Galleria nazionale d'arte moderna e contemporanea in Rome
I am excited to announce that I have been invited to particpate in the Contemporary Ceramic Sculpture in Italy exhibition in the GNAM: National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome. Curated by Nino Caruso and Mariastella Margozzi, this exhibition provides a rich survey of contemporary ceramic sculpture in Italy from the post-war period to the present. 180 works of 63 different artists are included in this, the most significant show of ceramic art in
Italy in more than 50 years. Dedicating
circa 2000 square meters to a reassessment of ceramic sculpture that elevates
it to its deserved position as an art form,
the show redresses the marginalisation of ceramics as a minor art.
The exhibition will be open from 11 March-7 June 2015
